Frequently asked questions

Can I just come to try a class before committing?

Yes - your first class is free. If you decide not to subscribe, there's no charge. If you do subscribe, that trial class counts as the first class of your subscription, so you're not paying twice. Just make sure to fill out the form for a free trial before coming.

Do I need to come with a partner?

No partner needed. We rotate partners during class so everyone gets to practice both leading and following with different people.

Can I join mid-month or start any time?

Yes, you can start any week since our courses run continuously! However, to maintain a high-quality learning environment for everyone, we require a quick level check first. Please don't just drop in - simply sign up for a FREE trial class or contact us, and we’ll make sure this level is the perfect fit for you.

How do I know which level is right for me?

Sign up to a free trial class and our instructors will assess your level in person and recommend the right group for you. You can also check our Levels page for detailed information on each level's requirements.

How does the subscription work?

Subscriptions are based on 4 planned classes, not 30 calendar days. If a class is cancelled due to a holiday or school break, your subscription simply continues until 4 classes have been delivered - even if that takes 5 or 6 weeks.

Does my subscription renew automatically?

Yes, monthly and flexible subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each cycle. To pause or cancel, just let us know at least 7 days before your current cycle ends. Please note that annual subscriptions do not renew automatically and will expire at the end of the school year.

Are there discounts available?

Yes - we offer discounts for students, seniors and job seekers, for taking multiple courses, for couples (one leader + one follower), for social events. Contact us or visit our benefits page to find out which applies to you.

What if I miss a class?

You get one excused absence per subscription cycle per course. To use it, cancle your session from your account at least 10 hours before the class starts and that session gets added back to your subscription. If you don't notify us in time, the class is forfeited.

Can I notify an absence in advance?

Yes, you can mark an absence for a future class in advance, including for the next subscription cycle. Just make sure to do it at least 10 hours before the class in question.

How many students are in a class?

We cap each class at maximum 24 students to keep it personal and make sure everyone gets proper attention from the instructors.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing and indoor shoes. You don't need dance shoes - just avoid outdoor trainers with rubber soles that grip the floor.

What happens if I sign up for this class but my current level isn't quite ready for it?

To ensure the best learning experience for everyone and to help you progress smoothly, our teachers evaluate students during the initial sessions. If they feel that the level you signed up for isn't the ideal match for you at the moment, we might kindly ask you to try another class with a different level that better aligns with your current experience.
